We have come a long way when it comes to gender inequity, but women are still vastly underrepresented in leadership and spheres of influence within the media and music sectors.

The panel discussion examines new trends within the Media & Music industry related to women's pathways to leadership and/or entrepreneurship, how to form cultural and structural changes that are needed, growth of influencers over journalists, and lastly how women can model new paradigms of power working in these industries.

We will give insight from some of New York's finest industry professionals.

Meet Our Panelists:

*Jionne 'JiJi' McMichael- Host & Moderator of "Bag Talk w/ JiJi"

In 2019, Jionne founded her own podcast, "Sorry Not Sorry," which explored the Black Experience in NYC through the eyes of herself and her co-host Jennifer Lewis Ford. The podcast's success led to her moderating the Instagram Live conference for creators and artists, "The Gemboree," where she interviewed prominent names in the music industry. JiJi was also featured in a BuzzFeed article as a main contributor to the HBCU Hogwarts TikTok trend, showcasing her creativity and influence in the social media landscape.

*Bebe Flight- Music Journalist & Host of "The Bebe Show"

Progressing to curating for music festivals and then transitioning from behind the scenes to on the stage hosting events there was still a void that needed to be discovered. She caught herself having the best conversations with the artists she ran into or grew relationships with... the impact of creating a safe space evoke a lot of emotions but triggered her to pursue her vision of a music series. “The Bebe Show" came to life creating fun moments and highlighting artist discovery ... one idea became a dream envisioned and executed to become an asset to artist development and truly flourish.

*Avery Watson-Entertainment PR & Founder of Multi Artistry ENT

She became a game-changer in the industry by providing transferable skills to all areas of entertainment, mentorship, and philanthropic initiatives in which created her own business Multi Artistry Ent. Later, in 2017 she handled various PR campaigns, Instagram verification, and digital marketing for some clients including; The 20th Anniversary Ruff Ryder's iconic reunion tour, Starz Power/HBO The Deuce Actress Andrea-Rachel Parker, NFL Athlete Derrick Jones, Rapper Corey Finesse, emerging Indian artist Raja an Urban Desi Pop artist with a breakout EP collaboration "Island Gyal" featuring Tory Lanez and many more.

*Tiana Health- Host & Producer of Ms. Tee Talk

Tiana Heath, better known as Ms. Tee Talk, has been making an impact in the media industry for over 10 years. She is an acclaimed interviewer and host of her popular interview series, Tee Talk, during which she has conducted over two hundred interviews with some of the most notable artists in the R&B and rap genres, including Bobby V, 112, and Twista.Ms. Tee Talk is an alumna of Brooklyn College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Radio and TV. Her show and other media projects have provided a platform for many to express their art and stories, the most recent of which is Missing on Long Island, an investigative YouTube series that highlights strange disappearances while helping victims' families.In addition to her many accomplishments, Ms. Tee Talk recently started a mentorship program for upcoming media professionals.

*Nikki Vante- CEO & Founder of Vante Media

Results-driven Digital Content Producer and Talent Coordinator who possesses an in-depth understanding of the social space, specializing in identifying emerging industry trends and expanding reach.
